GUYDES is a project built around the theme of “a journey to visit future friends.”
The project creates a guidebook to Onomichi through the perspectives of ten people who live there, each offering a different way of experiencing the city.
As one of those ten guides, I, Genki Takahashi, was featured in GUYDES ONOMICHI.
What makes this book so interesting is that it presents Onomichi from my own point of view, allowing you to plan a trip that feels less like sightseeing and more like living in the city.
I also hope that those visiting this website may be interested in learning more about me. The book includes stories about my relationship with tea, as well as more personal aspects of my life.
If you are thinking of visiting Onomichi, we recommend reading this book and using it as inspiration for your journey.

The following is quoted from GUYDES:
The text was written by Carlos, with photography by Takashi Omori. Together, they brought out both Genki’s serious side and his playful side.
This edition focuses more on Genki as a person than on tea itself.
As with the other books in the series, it includes a letter addressed to a future friend, an introduction to Genki, and information about a tour of Onomichi guided by him.
Every page is printed using risograph printing. The book is primarily printed in black, with selected pages in full colour using Aqua, Fluorescent Pink, Yellow, and Black.
The main paper is OK Adonis Rough 70, 4/6 T59.5 kg, while the booklet uses First Vintage Ash.
