This tasting set includes two distinctive teas made from the robust leaves of 70-year-old native tea trees, harvested after enduring the cold winter.
Onomichi Hama Tea is sun-dried by the Setouchi shore, giving it a subtle ocean aroma. Onomichi Bancha, meanwhile, is sun-dried in the mountains and offers a naturally sweet, wild character.
Although both teas are harvested from the same native tea trees at the same time, each develops a different flavour and aroma depending on where it is dried, making this an especially interesting set for comparing the two.
Both teas come in convenient tea bags, making them easy to enjoy at any time.
Because bancha is made without steaming or extensive rolling, it is naturally low in caffeine. This makes the set a thoughtful gift for children and expectant mothers, as well as a refreshing option for staying hydrated during the summer.
The teas are presented in a gift box and carefully wrapped in our original wrapping paper before delivery.
