Hashii of the Jinko Tea Producers’ Cooperative has been growing tea for over 40 years at the foot of Mount Daisen in Tottori, without relying on pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
Benihikari is a rare tea cultivar with Assamica heritage.
Unlike many Japanese black teas, it has a crisp astringency and a refreshing, menthol-like aroma.
It pairs especially well with scones, cakes, and other Western-style sweets.
